Identification of producers in e-commerce

The rise of online sales platforms is making it more difficult to identify producers subject to EPR. In response, Round members have developed a common national platform that will automate the secure and targeted exchange of administrative data between Belgian EPR organisations and marketplaces. This solution simplifies compliance for online sellers and promotes fairness among all market players.

Communication on sorting in companies

In collaboration with private waste management companies, Valipac has an extensive database on Belgian companies and their sorting practices. At the request of Fost Plus, this database has been expanded to include the sorting of household packaging (PMC) in companies, making it possible to target communication to companies that do not yet sort.

This tool has the advantage of being applicable to other flows subject to EPR, such as motor oils, WEEE, etc. For confidentiality reasons, no individual data is shared with other EPR organisations.

Cybersecurity

EPR organisations manage sensitive information from producers or waste management companies. Within Round, members share their best cybersecurity practices in order to strengthen their respective systems, harmonise standards and guarantee stakeholders reliable and secure processing of their data.
